Sheaff Vehicles was established back in 1989 by Phil Sheaff as one of the first used car importers in Tauranga, however given the volume of vehicles coming in from Japan, we soon realised we needed a mechanic on-site to check and keep the vehicles in great shape – and that is where the Sheaff Vehicles, Service Centre and Workshop began. Starting with just 1 technician “out the back”, we have progressed, upgrading and improving our facilities, our training and of course becoming more and more experienced.

In 2007 we moved to a purpose built, 4 bay workshop on Hewletts Rd, Mt Maunganui when we were the franchise dealership and workshop for Ssangyong and LDV Vehicles. In 2018 the sales side of the business dropped the franchise brands in order to move towards specializing in Hybrid and Electric vehicles, and in 2019 the sales part of the business was taken over by GVI – one of the biggest EV Dealerships in the country. During all these changes though, the workshop has remained strong and steady and offers our customers, both new or existing, exceptional service, with unparalleled experience and honest advice. With top quality diagnostic equipment, specialist EV training and of course years of experience, you know your pride and joy is going to be in safe hands.

Our premises are centrally located and are very easy to find on one of the main thoroughfares in the city. We offer a clean and tidy waiting area with great free coffee should you want to wait while we look after your vehicle.
